The summer is drawing to a close, and my first-half Asheville Real Estate Report, which details price and sales trends by ZIP code, is complete and ready for distribution.
In the first half of 2011, sales nationally declined 3.7 percent, while sales in Asheville declined 12 percent. Median prices, however, nationally declined 4.7 percent, while they remained relatively stable at minus 0.5 percent in Asheville.
Sales of condos and townhouses have suffered over the past three years: nationally, median prices declined by more than 20 percent; in Asheville they have declined by almost 40 percent.Read the full article
