Synth art pop-up poster show and sale
The Bob Moog Foundation will host a two day “pop-up” poster show on Friday and Saturday, December 20th and 21st at the Satellite Gallery in downtown Asheville.
The show will feature art posters from previous area electronic music festivals, Moogfest and Mountain Oasis Electronic Music Summit. Some of the posters are designed by nationally recognized concert poster designers, while others are official posters of the respective festival, signed by various artists.
The pop-up show opens on Friday the 20th at noon. A reception will be held that evening from 7-9pm featuring complimentary Moog-inspired cocktails created by Spirit Savvy, a new even production company celebrating the craft cocktail. The show continues on Saturday from 11am-6pm.
Included in the hundreds of posters for sale are official festival art posters signed by: Thomas Dolby, Orbital, Nortec Collective, Gary Numan, TV On the Radio, Ghostland Observatory, SoundTribe Sector 9, Terry Riley, Morton Subotnick, Beak, Magnetic Fields, Primus, Shpongle, Explosions in the Sky, Richie Hawtin, Bassnectar, Pretty Lights, Nas, GZA, Explosions in the Sky, Miike Snow, Carl Craig and more.
Funding generated from the two day event will benefit the projects of the Bob Moog Foundation. The Foundation is currently educating 1,000 students in 55 classrooms and three school districts in the Asheville area through its innovative curriculum, Dr. Bob’s SoundSchool.
Prices for the posters range from $25 - $100. All reasonable offers will be considered.
Come share some holiday cheer, get a little piece of history, and support the Bob Moog Foundation's work to inspire the future!
