Dance into 2014 at Ben’s Tune Up’s New Year’s Eve dance party. Items from the eatery’s already-festive, Asian-inspired regular menu will be available, and although Ben’s house-made sake is still brewing, they plan to do a sake toast at midnight.

Tressa’s annual New Year’s Eve Blast features a soul-food buffet, party favors and a midnight toast and balloon drop. Asheville band Lyric will perform with special guest Ruby Mayfield on saxophone.

All Souls Pizza
All Souls is partnering with Noble Cider to present “A Very Noble New Year,” a prix fixe menu with optional cider pairings featuring several yet-to-be-released cider varieties. Revelers who choose the dinner with pairings get to take home a Noble Cider glass as a memento of the evening’s festivities.

Thirsty Monk Biltmore Park
To celebrate New Year’s at its Biltmore Park location, the Monk has cooked up a Times Square-style keg drop: a beer keg wrapped in Christmas lights and perched atop a 20-foot pole for a descent into Biltmore Park at the stroke of midnight. The party will also feature the release of Thirsty Monk’s Aged Imperial Amber, a midnight tapping of what could be the area’s last keg of Highland Cold Mountain and a midnight brunch.

Oskar Blues Brewery
Beer drinkers rejoice! Welcome 2014 with a quality brew – or five – at Oskar Blues New Year’s Eve Hootenanny. The evening will feature music by The Hackensaw Boys and the Packway Handle Band along with special brews and other goodies. Food trucks will be on hand for dining options. Tickets are limited. Proceeds from the event will benefit Oskar Blues’ CAN’d AID Foundation, a nonprofit organization founded in September to help victims of the Colorado floods.

Pastry chef Ashley Capps and bartender Hank Fuseler will team up to present “Sugar and Ice,” a late-night party featuring creative dessert and cocktail pairings. One offering will be amaretto, cardamom dark rum and Cointreau over a Tribal Grounds Coffee ice cube served with an almond-crusted cardamom doughnut.

Looking for a gluten-free yet thoroughly gourmet celebration? Posana will celebrate New Year’s Eve with a four-course, prix fixe meal. Choices include shrimp bisque, kale and goat cheese salad, braised lamb, seared scallops and molten chocolate cake. Reservations are recommended.
