Local grassroots progressive organization, WNC for Change, hosted a forum this week that featured four of the nine Asheville City Council candidates explaining their positions on a variety of issues, from infrastructure improvement to economic development.

Here's a short video of the closing remarks of the candidates who participated (from left to right: Chris Pelly, Marc Hunt, Lael Gray and Saul Chase). The organization only invited the six candidates who it felt were most in line with its progressive values. Jan Davis and TJ Runner were invited but unable to attend.

The Montford Neighoborhood Association will hold the next candidate meet and greet Sept. 15 at the Randolph Learning Center. For a complete listing of upcoming campaign events, stay tuned to our campaign calendar.
