Small business service providers to hold workshop focusing on the Affordable Care Act

ASHEVILLE, NC – Various small business service providers will offer a workshop focusing on the Affordable Care Act (A.C.A.) specifically for small businesses.

A-B Tech Small Business Center, in collaboration with the Small Business and Technology Development Center, Self-Help Credit Union, Mountain BizWorks, and Spark Tank, will offer “The Affordable Care Act: A Workshop for Small Businesses” at the A-B Tech Enka site on Wednesday, February 26, 2014.

The workshop will feature three panelists who are experts in the Affordable Care Act and its implications for small business owners: Dave Trout, owner of Trout Insurance; Jennifer L. Whitney, a Certified Public Accountant and manager with Dixon Hughes Goodman LLP; and Grant B. Osborne, an attorney with Ward and Smith, P.A. Each panelist will deliver brief remarks reflecting his or her area of expertise related to the A.C.A. The panel will then open to questions for the audience.

Small business owners – the self-employed, small business owners who employ less than 50 employees, and small business owners who employ more than 50 employees – are invited to attend this free workshop. The event takes place Wednesday, February 26, 2014, with registration beginning at 8 a.m. and the workshop concluding at 10 a.m. The location is the A-B Tech Enka site, Haynes Conference Center second floor, at 1459 Sand Hill Rd., Candler NC 28715.
