Motion and Emotion Art Show at The Red House Studios and Gallery, opens March 7
Several artists and photographers of the Swannanoa Valley Fine Art Leaque have created an eclectic collection of 2D and 3D works that is surely “candy” for the eyes.
There will be colorful fun art in the way of spinning mobiles, fun wood sculptures, colorful vinyl mats, interesting assemblages. The pervading theme of love and laughter makes this show a delight to the senses. Abstractionists are presenting their art in video productions. A mobile of art-noir will be hung with fascinating photographs. Minimalist art works and 2D art that capture emotional moments in time and movement contribute to this eclectic exhibit. The award winning Black Mt . rocking chair is on loan and will be displayed for the 2 months. This exhibit created especially for the viewer to stop and look and feel something.When: March 7 through April 28, 2014

A glimpse at Jim Campbells “Rythms of Perception” show that is now taking place at The Museum Of Moving Image in Astoria New York. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SZoLN0nxUcM This video shows some inventions and toys from early motion picture history and then morphs to the Jim Campbell show, a show that explores a very contemporary experience of motion imaging. This video in two and a half minutes explores the past one hundred plus years in motion image. All the art in this short video including the audio, with exception to the early forms of motion image were created by Jim Campbell. The video was shot and edited by Orion Brown.
