• Don't bring your dog (a shaded Detain Your Pet area will be set up for those who forget this rule).
• You can't drink on Sunday: No alcohol will be served at Bele Chere or allowed on the streets on Sunday. A $2 wristband (available at booths located adjacent to beverage stations, or from participating merchants) and a valid photo ID will be required to purchase beer on Friday and Saturday. Wristband colors change every day. (A wristband is not required for drinking in Asheville's downtown pubs, only on the street.) Note: Consumption and purchase of alcoholic beverages on streets will be prohibited after 10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday! The children's area in City/County Plaza is a designated alcohol-free zone all three days.
• Think about recycling: Green-and-yellow recycling-only containers and yellow trash/recycling containers will be placed throughout the festival grounds. Empty aluminum cans, glass bottles and No. 1 and 2 plastic bottles can be recycled. No trash in the recycling bins!
• No bicycles, roller blades, roller skates or skateboards will be allowed at Bele Chere. Don't bring in any bottles or coolers, either. No lawn chairs, backpacks or coolers will be allowed at Bele Chere's two paid stages.
