Newcomer Usual Suspects won nods in two categories, though co-owner Cathy Taylor is no stranger to Asheville's beverage connoisseurs, barflies and socialites, having previously netted plenty of honors for her bartending expertise. While we're on the subject of heavy hitters, Hall of Famer Highland Brewery has once again received top honors in the Asheville brewing scene -- a world that continues to evolve, thanks in no small part to the new law that opens the tap for "big beers" in North Carolina.
