You know where to get your club on, readers. Where else but Hall-of-Faming Scandals, which you’ve voted Best Place to Dance some xx years in a row? The only place in town to stay out late, later, latest, and to get down with bachelorette parties, bankers and drag queens alike.
“I enjoy watching all these people that don't look like they hang out in the same circles dancing in the same space,” says Sherrie Davis, who co-owns the Grove House building where Scandals is located. “It’s a really neat feeling, to see so many types of people come together.”
And, whether you’re dancing to the hits (Gaga!) on Fridays and Saturdays, or tripping out on the local DJ circuit on Thursdays (drum-and-bass, events from Touch Samadhi), you won’t be booted at last call if people are still dancing. No more alcohol doesn’t have to mean no more hip-shakin.’
“We don't shut the doors at 2 a.m.,” Davis says. “We let people go until the crowd dwindles down.”
