Chef de Cuisine Denny Trantham has been promoted to executive chef, announces Jeffrey A. Piccirillo, executive food and beverage director.
Piccirillo said: “Denny was raised in Haywood County, North Carolina. Having grown up in the Southern Appalachian culture he has been exposed to the rich traditions that the South has to offer. His Southern Appalachian culinary skills are reflected today in his innovative and diverse Southern elegance cuisine that is offered at the Blue Ridge Dining Room. He also works closely with local farmers in order to provide the freshest ingredients, while also supporting the local economy.
“Chef Trantham attended Johnson and Wales University where he earned his Associate Degree in Applied Science of Culinary Arts and was also awarded the Cordon Bleu award. He subsequently continued his education at Montreat College, where he graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelors degree in Business. After graduation, Chef Trantham completed his apprenticeship at the National Press Club in Washington D.C.”
