Asheville group seeking supplies for Haiti; truck departs Tues a.m.

via Facebook page:
Thank you to everyone expressing an interest in helping us get supplies to our workers on the ground in Haiti. While money is an urgent need and can be donated at Amurt.net we have a Margii, (member of the Yogic group Ananda Marga), in Florida who owns a shipping company who has been working with Haitian volunteers for many years. I’d like to emphasize that AMURT has been on the ground in Haiti for 20 years and is committed to remaining there as long as needed. This letter gives an update of our work to date and lists the needs requested by our workers. Only volunteers who meet the criteria below are needed at this time.

LOCAL DROP-OFF POINT FOR SUPPLIES IS 22 RAVENSCROFT DR. Parallel to Church St. off of Hilliard Ave. Day and evening hours. LOCAL CONTACTS FOR AMURT ARE: Didi Ananda’usa: 828.255.8777; Bhavesh, (Brett), Sculthorp: 828.778.5105.
