Now in its second week, the Keowee Chamber Music Festival (which runs through Monday, June 21) offers a number of public performances:
• At the First Presbyterian Church ( 40 Church St., Asheville) onThursday, June 17, 7:30 p.m.
• At the Toe River Arts Council Gallery (Spruce Pine) on Friday, June 18, 7:30 p.m. “TRAC is pleased that the Keowee Chamber Music Festival is returning June 18 to our area to perform two concerts titled ‘Celebrating the Global Village’ that mixes the sound traditions from Spain, India, Columbia and jazz. There will be a FREE 4pm concert for children and their families and one at 7:30 pm for adults at TRAC’s Spruce Pine Gallery.”
• At Pretty Place Chapel (Cedar Mountain) on Sunday, June 20, 4 p.m. This is a free performance; donations are encouraged.
The musicians are flutist Kate Steinbeck, viola player Simon Értz, cellist Philip von Maltzahn and Amy Brucksch on guitar. Info at keoweechambermusic.org.
