The only thing 200 Occupy Wall Street protesters occupied Monday night was a jail cell.
Rumors are flying through social media and news networks about what did and did not happen during the surprise police sweep of Zuccotti Park, headquarters of Occupy Wall Street.
Michael Bloomberg, Mayor of New York City, claims the arrests and police sweep were prompted by unsafe conditions in the park.
The only thing that’s clear is that Occupy is no longer just a peaceful protest.

The hamfisted show of force (locally and nationally) against the movement is in direct correlation to how threatened the powers that be, feel. This movement is just beginning to gel…there is no way to predict where it will end or the effect it will have. That said, the financial /banking lobbiests are already putting forth some strategies to potential clients to consider. http://msnbcmedia.msn.com/i/msnbc/sections/news/CLGF-msnbc.pdf |

Alicia’s point is the real fear behind the Wall Street>OWS counterattack memo. If Americans awaken to the idea as to how markets are not only failing to meet unmet needs, but exacerbating them, more sophisticated solutions to OWS like social innovation/social entrepreneurship slashes the old model profit scales. http://www.guardian.co.uk/news/datablog/video/2011/nov/16/99-v-1-occupy-data-animation |

Dear Mountain Xpress, Did you even read how poorly written the article is? News Corporation wouldn’t even publish that garbage. She is an editor for the UNCA paper? That is just embarrassing. |
