On the heels of a 20th Anniversary tour, and completion of a seventh studio album (due out in 2013), newgrass folk-rockers Acoustic Syndicate recently announced a trio of holiday shows in North Carolina. The Asheville date is set for Friday, Nov. 23 at the Orange Peel. 9 p.m., $15 advance or $17 day of show.

Of the forthcoming album, a press release reveals, "fans can expect more of the band’s trademark positive upbeat sound with soaring tight-knit harmonies, blazing guitar picking, complex polyrhythmic banjo and dobro playing and a rock steady rhythm section."
