Full announcement from the Asheville Police Department:

At approximately 9:15 pm on November 7,2012 APD received a call of a woman shot at the Greyhound Bus Station on Tunnel Rd. Officers Arrived and found the victim shot lying between seats on the Greyhound Bus. Other Officers were able to find the suspect behind Innsbruck Mall and take him into custody and seize the gun he used to shoot the woman. Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect and the victim were in a previous domestic relationship. Also the suspect attempted to kill a witness that had followed him to the Innsbruck Mall. The victim is in ICU at Mission Hospital and her name is not being released until notifications can be made to the family. The suspect, Patrick Earl Holliday, is in custody at the Buncombe County Detention Facility and has been charged with Attempted Murder of two individuals, possession of firearm by a felon, assault on law enforcement with a deadly weapon, and discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle. He was also served with an outstanding warrant for assault with a deadly weapon. He is being held at the jail under a $560,000 bond.
