Asheville Greenworks hosts ‘Hard 2 Recycle’ event today until 1pm
The Spring Hard 2 Recycle event at the City Market on April 28th 8-1. Bring your hard to recycle items. Various groups will be taking different types of items, here is a partial list:

Asheville Greenworks will accept
Hard bulky plastics, yard furniture, broken plastic toys, totes, buckets, flower
pots, hard bound and paperback books, phone books, large cardboard.

Rainbow Recycling will accept
Sheet, block, molded packing Styrofoam & peanuts (no food packaging) Small
Appliances - toasters, blenders, microwaves, irons, fans, etc.

EcycleUS will accept
Electronics of any kind, computers, laptops, computer accessories.
*CRT televisions with a $5.00 donation

Isaac Dickson Elementary will accept
Cell phones, PDAs, chargers, ink and toner cartridges

Brother Wolf Animal Rescue will accept
Old blankets, towels, comforters and pillows

Lions Club of Asheville will accept
Prescription eyewear

Lowes will accept
CFL Bulbs

**Not accepting the following**
Batteries, fluorescent tubes, food packaging Styrofoam, electric oil-filled heaters,
garden hoses, paints or petroleum products.
