Asheville on Bikes invites public along for parade ride
Here's the message from Asheville on Bikes, via the advocacy group's email newsletter:

This Saturday, November 17!

If you’re sad that the next Pumpkin Pedaller is a whole year away, Asheville on Bikes presents you with yet another opportunity to don a costume and get on your bike. Our theme this year is “Alice in Winter Wonderland” (to fit under the overall parade theme of “Silver Bells and Snowflakes”). We will showcase one each of Alice in Wonderland’s iconic characters as well as an army of playing cards.

There are several ways to be involved. If you’re interested in coming as a character, get in touch with Megan Smith at megansmith11_3@yahoo.com. Otherwise, join our army of playing cards! Come dressed in a funky outfit of red, white, black, and/or silver, and be prepared to don a playing card the morning of the parade. Meet at 10AM at the Stephens-Lee Recreation Center, 30 G.W. Carver Avenue. (From Charlotte Street near the downtown pedestrian bridge, take Max Street east. The rec center will be on your left.) Connect with this event on facebook.

The holiday parade is always a great way to take part in Asheville’s cycling community, meet new people, and have fun. See you there!
