Biltmore Park Town Square recognized by International Council of Shopping Centers
FROM BILTMORE FARMS (full release)

Biltmore Park Town Square recently received recognition for its high-quality design from the International Council of Shopping Centers. At the annual ICSC United States Design and Development Awards held in Las Vegas, Biltmore Park’s urban village won national recognition for Innovative Design and Development of a New Project. Biltmore Park won the Silver award (second place in the United States) for retail projects.

ICSC considered numerous projects for the 2011 U.S. Design and Development Awards. Projects were judged based on shopping center design & development, sustainability, marketing, and community service. Among the positive Biltmore Park attributes highlighted by the judges were Town Square’s unique architecture, thoughtful placemaking and the many green initiatives undertaken during and after construction.

“This award is recognition of a wonderfully designed community,” believes Jack Cecil, president of Biltmore Farms, LLC. “Witnessing the patrons, who come to Town Square from across Western North Carolina to enjoy this mixed-use community, is a tribute to the thoughtful placemaking incorporated into the selection of stores, restaurants, cinemas, hotel, and office venues. It is an honor to receive this award from ICSC and demonstrates many individuals’ hard work and continuous dedication in making Biltmore Park Town Square a unique urban village.”

The ICSC Design and Development Awards are the highest level of recognition a retail project can receive within the United States. For more information about this award or about Biltmore Park Town Square please call 210-1660 or visit biltmorepark.com.
