Citizen-Times examines voting habits, frequency of commissioner candidates
The Asheville Citizen-Times reviewed past voting records of Buncombe County Board of Commissioners candidates, finding:

Buncombe County commissioner candidates wanting your vote haven't always offered theirs in past elections, according to state voting data analyzed by the Citizen-Times.

Six of the 23 candidates for commissioner on the May 8 primary ballot voted in fewer than 60 percent of elections in which they were eligible to cast a ballot since 2002, and four of those voted in fewer than 40 percent.

The numbers only include elections held in Buncombe County and count primary, runoff and general elections, municipal votes and last fall’s sales tax referendum....
