ASHEVILLE, N.C. (Nov. 9, 2012) – Mission Health has announced the addition of board-certified internist and geriatrician Dana Cutzu, MD. Dr. Cutzu joins Mission Senior Services and the comprehensive geriatric consult team at Asheville-based Mission Hospital.

“We are very pleased Dr. Cutzu has joined our excellent staff” said Christina McQuiston, MD, medical director of Mission Senior Services. “Her compassionate patient-centered care and holistic approach to geriatric medicine are assets to our comprehensive geriatric inpatient team.”

Along with other members of the geriatric consult team, Dr. Cutzu will care for hospitalized geriatric patients. Her work will include treatment of acute and chronic medical conditions as well as psychiatric issues.

Dr. Cutzu attended medical school at Carol Davilla University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest, Romania. Dr. Cutzu went on to complete her internal medicine residency and a geriatrics fellowship at New York Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, N.Y.
