Free Plant Clinics and Compost Demonstrations
From a Press Release

Extension Master Gardener Volunteers will hold a “Plant Clinic” at the Western North Carolina Farmers Market, 570 Brevard Road, Saturday, June 9 and June 23, 11:00am-2:00pm. The clinic is designed to help gardeners identify plant problems and pests. Area residents are encouraged to bring in plant samples for evaluation. An information table will be displayed in the breezeway area between the two retail buildings located on the south side as one enters the Farmer's Market. Extension Master Gardener Volunteers will be on hand to answer questions and provided a variety of handouts and soil sample kits.

In addition, Extension Master Gardener Volunteers will be on hand just beside Jesse Israel's Garden Center to demonstrate how to compost at home. Several compost systems will be displayed including a worm composing bin. Volunteers will be ready to provide advice, and printed material on composting strategies will also be available.
