McHenry makes the national media rounds responding to DNC
Here's the message and links from 10th District Republican Rep. Patrick McHenry's email newsletter. He's facing a challenge this year from Democrat Patsy Keever.

HICKORY, N.C. - Congressman McHenry spent his day in Charlotte on Wednesday at the Democratic National Convention. Unlike the Democrats at the Convention, McHenry discussed the issue on the mind of most Americans: jobs and the economy.

Here are just a few highlights from yesterday's visit to the DNC:
CNN Interview with Soledad O'Brien: "When you talk to the folks in my district they are not talking about the issues that were brought up last night - they're talking about whether they have a job."

The Hill: GOP Rep. McHenry taunts Obama for moving convention speech to smaller venue, "Well, the news today that the president has bagged his speech in Bank of America Stadium is kind of a surprise to me [...] That's unfortunate, I think it has more to do with attendance rather than precipitation."

POLITICO: Patrick McHenry chides Larry Kissel for absence, McHenry called Tuesday night's speeches "nice stagecraft" but not enough to sway the American public. "This convention won't get Americans back to work," McHenry said.
