MG Road and Eating Asheville Host the Craft Cocktail Experience
The second Craft Cocktail Experience will take place this Friday, Dec. 14, at MG Road. The events bring together local mixologists for a ticketed event that shows off the creativity of Asheville's cocktail scene. The evenings also feature chef-created small dishes. On Friday, executive chef and owner of Chai Pani and MG Road Meherwan Irani will create a special menu of appetizers and heavy hors d'oeuvres. Here are the details from the press release:

Presented by Eating Asheville, the Craft Cocktail Experience is a series of single venue events intended to celebrate Asheville's budding and vibrant craft cocktail scene. Each event is hosted by a different local bar and features drinks from Asheville's most talented mixologists.

Honored guests include MG Road's own Kyle Gray Beach, who will be one of four local mixologists creating craft cocktails for the event and Meherwan Irani, Executive Chef of Chai Pani & MG Road, who will co-create a special event menu of appetizers and heavy hors d'oeuvres.

Tickets for the Craft Cocktail Experience are $59 per person and include four hand-crafted cocktails and mindblasting appetizers.

December's event at MG Road will be held on Friday, December 14th from 6:30 - 9:30 pm.

"This event is about honoring the artistry of hand-crafted cocktails," said Joshua Bailey, co-owner of Eating Asheville and longtime bar manager of Zambra. "The idea is kind of a spin-off on Asheville's underground supper clubs, like Blind Pig. But with this, cocktails get to be the focus."

"We are thrilled to host this event at MG Road," said Meherwan Irani. "These mixologists are chefs in their own right. They are constantly experimenting with new flavors - making their own bitters, infusions and juices - while always keeping an eye on traditional recipes and techniques. It's really exciting to be a part of the Asheville cocktail movement."

Tickets to the Craft Cocktail Experience are available online.
