Mysterious explosion in West Asheville
According to many posts on facebook and eyewitnesses, there was some sort of explosion last night on Hudson Street in West Asheville.

Police were on scene, but as yet have not confirmed any source. The explosion was loud enough to have been reported all over the West Asheville area.

"There was a crater about 6-8 inches around and several inches deep," said Edward Maglott. a resident of Hudson Street. "People saw a flash, to me it smelled like gunpowder."

There were no apparent injuries.
