N.C.‘s Rep. Heath Shuler releases statement on Supreme Court health-care ruling
PRESS RELEASE
Today U.S. Representative Heath Shuler (D-NC) released the following statement following the Supreme Court ruling on the Affordable Care Act:

“Independent of today’s Supreme Court ruling I continue to believe that we must work together to improve key health care policies including curbing the cost of health care and preventing illness instead of just treating it.”

Wow, he’s really sticking his neck out on that one, isn’t he? “We must work to curb the central driver of spiraling healthcare costs: the insatiable demand for ever-increasing profits in a private industry that should instead be operated as a public enterprise for the good of all.”

Oh wait. I imagined that part, didn’t I?

Although, props to him for resisting the NRA’s demand that he vote to find Eric Holder in contempt, unlike two other “Democrats” in NC.

What a difference not needing to compromise yourself for campaign contributions makes, eh?

“Although, props to him for resisting the NRA’s demand that he vote to find Eric Holder in contempt, unlike two other “Democrats” in NC.”

If anyone would actually delve into this matter, it would become apparent that the reason the guns involved were not confiscated before finding their way into Mexican drug runner’s hands is directly the result of Republican laws that acquiesce to the extremist NRA leadership. In particular, Arizona’s laws.

The NRA is directly responsible for the deaths of millions of birds and other animal life, and the near extinction of the California condor due to these animals ingesting lead from bullets left in animals shot.  These complete whack jobs are adamantly opposed to using copper instead of lead to stop this horrendous activity. Why?  Because, they whine and snivel, it would “infringe their freedoms” (to kill millions) and would “cost too much” (a couple of pennies).

They have no concern for anyone or anything beyond their gun-loving insanity.  And I am personally not anti-gun (I own three), just anti-NRA.
