NCDOT reports clear interstates in Asheville but some snow/ice in Haywood County
After about a half-inch of snow fell last night in town, Asheville interstates are clear. But in nearby Haywood County — where four inches of snow fell — I-40 has some snow and ice, the North Carolina Department of Transportation reports. On I-26 in Henderson County, the highway is mostly clear. US/NC routes appear clear in Asheville but some snow and ice in Haywood, Henderson and Madison Counties.

Secondary roads in most Western North Carolina counties also may have snow and ice.
