WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Richard Burr (R-North Carolina) issued the following statement regarding Republican Congressman Todd Akin and the Missouri Senate race:
“Congressman Akin’s comments about rape were outrageous, offensive, and, simply put, wrong. I urge him to do the right thing and withdraw from the Missouri Senate race now.”
