UNC Asheville students will showcase their work in community service projects and internships at a celebration with community partners from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3, in the Kimmel Arena on campus.
More than 400 people, including representatives of community partner organizations, faculty, students and others interested in community service work are expected to attend. Students will have displays set up and will be on hand to describe their work. Light refreshments will be served at the celebration.
At 4 p.m., before the celebration begins, students seeking to receive the special honor, the Community Engaged Scholar designation, will present capstone public service projects in Sherrill Center room 402.
Representatives of community organizations and businesses interested in learning more about partnering with UNC Asheville in providing opportunities for internship and service learning projects for UNC Asheville students are invited to attend.
