Video: Look out Busk Break, there’s a new video blogger on your beat!
If you've been following the Xpress-produced Busk Break field-recording series, it should hardly be surprising that our local streetcorner performers tend to make for great video content. But it looks like there's a new player in that audiovisual game. halfaspieguy recently started uploading videos of local buskers.

Here's one of his many videos of Leeda "Lyric" Jones and band covering Michael Jackson's "Black or White" on one of their busking outings.

And here's his video of Austin-based musician Mike Gray performing Blind Willie Johnson's "Everybody Ought To Treat A Stranger Right." (Here's Busk Break's version from another performance. It's hard not to have camera envy when comparing the two.)

Thanks for the compliment. I shot these with a Pentax K5. I show my landscape photography downtown and I decided to teach myself to do video. The buskers just let me practice on them.
I created the youtube channel to do some clips about living with Asperger’s. (I call my strain of ASD Halfasperger’s thus the name Halfaspieguy)  When I get up the nerve to point the camera at myself I’ll start posting those.
