Website, Baby Takeout, makes dining with babies easy — well, easier
A new website, Baby Takeout, takes some of the guesswork out of going out to eat with kids and babies. A helpful guide shows which restaurants, both chains and independent, offer amenities like changing tables and kids menus — and which don't. Here's some info from the site:

"Especially as a new parent, dining out with your baby can be a bit intimidating. Will the menu offer food your toddler can eat? Where do you change a diaper if there is no diaper table in the restroom?

This site was born out of frustration. Our family went to lunch downtown. The restaurant was hip, the food was creative and fun, and the place was full of parents with babies and kids. Shortly after arriving our baby had a stinky diaper. I lugged the diaper bag and baby to the restroom only to discover NO diaper table. Ugh. If only I had known ahead of time.

Well, our car was three blocks away on a chilly, windy day, so our baby had to sit through the meal with a messy diaper. After that experience I thought, wouldn’t it be nice if you could easily look up which restaurants are kid-friendly? So I created Baby-Takeout to help other parents. Here you can look up which restaurants in Asheville have KID’s MENUS, HIGH CHAIRS and DIAPER CHANGING TABLES in the men’s and women’s restrooms. I hope you find this website useful for dining out with your little ones."

The website also offers tips and tricks for dining out with little ones, and even ranks restaurants from best to worst in terms of child-friendly offerings. Click the link to view the site.
