Wilson promotes environmental credentials
Here's the press release from Democratic candidate Susan Wilson, who's running against Republican Nathan Ramsey in the race for Statehouse District 115, which includes much of eastern Buncombe County:

Wilson is clear choice on environment

Susan Wilson receives key environmental endorsements

ASHEVILLE, NC – Susan Wilson, the Democratic candidate for North Carolina State House District 115, has received several key endorsements from the Sierra Club, League of Conservation Voters, and Environment North Carolina for her stance on environmental issues.

“Susan Wilson is the environmental leader we need representing Buncombe County,” said Ken Brame, Co-Chair of the NC Sierra Club Political Committee. “She will work hard to protect North Carolina’s environment for our families and for our future.”

Wilson will work for “common sense solutions for North Carolina’s environment—from her mountain district to the coast,” said Elizabeth Ouzts, Director of Environment North Carolina. Wilson is “particularly supportive of clean, alternative energy sources,” Ouzts added.

If elected, Wilson will work tirelessly to promote sensible environmental policies that protect our mountains, and preserve them as a vital part of the Buncombe County economy.

“I am happy to have the endorsement of these wonderful groups,” said Wilson. “We must do everything in our power to protect our environment both as part of our mountain heritage, and as a driver for our economy. I am committed to keeping our air clean, our water safe, and our mountains beautiful for future generations to enjoy.”
