The Asheville Police Department confirms that Bojangles on Tunnel Road has been robbed. Officials say the East Asheville fast food restaurant was hit sometime Thursday afternoon around 3:30 p.m. Asheville Police are still looking for the suspect. No other details are available at this point.
The robbery suspect ran into the wooded area behind the restaurant. He was a white male armed with a handgun.

The Asheville Police Department received a report on Thursday 10/25/2012 at 3:12 PM of an armed robbery at the Bojangles Restaurant at 1338 Tunnel Road. Witnesses described a white male dressed in dark clothing jumping the counter while displaying a handgun and demanding money. The suspect left the property on foot toward Scenic Drive. Investigators believe the suspect then fled the area in a vehicle. No injuries were reported in this incident.
Investigators with the Asheville Police Department will be continuing the investigation through the night. More information will be released as it develops.
