A-B Tech: New GED testing coming in 2014
Full announcement from A-B Tech:

A new GED (General Education Development) test will begin in January 2014 at A-B Tech Community College, so the College is encouraging all current GED students to pass the tests before the end of 2013.

The new test will cover much more content and will be administered only on a computer. It replaces paper-based tests last updated in 2002. Content covered will be social studies, science, mathematics and literacy.

“Currently, the test costs $35 per student for the complete series of tests. This also includes any retesting,” said Karen Pauly, Director of the Basic Skills Program at A-B Tech. “Starting January 1, 2014, the test will be a minimum of $24 per test and if a student needs to retest in a content area, they will need to pay another $24. It is financially beneficial for students to get their GED now.”

All completed test scores from the existing series of tests will expire if the GED is not completed by Dec. 31, 2013. For more information on GED testing, call 398-7132.
