Asheville, NC August 20, 2013 – For the second year in a row, individuals will come together in Asheville, NC to share ideas, form teams and launch startups. Startup Weekends are weekend-long, hands-on experiences where entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs meet for the first time to launch businesses, some of which actually continue after the weekend. Benefits to attendees include the opportunity to truly evaluate potential co-founders, to learn new skills, and to work creatively within constraints.
Beginning with open mic pitches on Friday, attendees will bring their best ideas and inspire others to join their team. Over Saturday and Sunday teams focus on customer development, idea validation, startup methodologies and building a minimal viable product. On Sunday evening teams demo their prototypes and receive valuable feedback from a panel of experts.
