Cúrate makes GQ’s “The 12 Most Outstanding Restaurants of 2013”
Alan Richman of GQ magazine selected 12 restaurants from around the nation that deliver the "perfect night out [that] will make you feel coddled, welcome, and well fed," and Cúrate made the list.

The list included restaurants all over the nation, many in metropolitan areas, including New York City, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles and San Francisco. Clearly, Cúrate would hold its own in any city (although we already knew that just from eating there). Another of the list's trends: half of the restaurants are located in the South (if you count the Thai restaurant in D.C.).

Below, find an excerpt from Richman's observations on Cúrate. For the full article, visit GQ's website.

Cúrate is a prototype of how genuine tapas—the kind from Spain—might flourish throughout America. It's that accessible, and it's so appealing that the restaurant is packed day and night. Nothing here seems odd or incomprehensible, including the bocata de calamares, which is a fried-squid sandwich.

Drink and Dish Not to Miss: 2010 Do Ferreiro Cepas Vellas Albariño Rías Baixas, one of Spain's most profound whites, and jamón ibérico de bellota, the world's most prized ham.
