The annual Chief Warrant Officer Three Mitch Carver Memorial Drill meet will be held on Saturday, March 16 at Erwin High School, beginning with an opening ceremony at 8:30 a.m. Participating schools include all Buncombe County high schools' JROTC programs, along with JROTC units from Asheville HS, East Henderson, Pisgah, and Tuscola.
The competition honors 1992 Erwin HS graduate Mitch Carver, who was a member of the Erwin football team, track team, and himself a JROTC cadet.
