Here's the press release from Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina:

Asheville, NC – Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina announced the grand re-opening of its West Asheville retail store on Wednesday, January 30 at 1616 Patton Ave. This newly renovated and enlarged store has 20% more shopping space and a redesigned layout that will make for a better shopping experience.

This modernized thrift store also offers a different style of cash wrap with one line feeding into four registers that will allow for faster check-out. Customers are invited to celebrate the event and browse the aisles of newly acquired donations and special brand new items.

“We at Goodwill are excited to be able to expand both our building and our programming in order to better serve Asheville,” said Ted Chellis, district manager for Goodwill. “And with this new store we are able to provide our loyal customers with an expanded selection of merchandise.”

Store staff and members of Goodwill executive management invite all to attend the grand opening at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, January 30. Revenue generated from the sale of donated items funds career development and training programs that help people in Asheville community find jobs and reach financial stability. In 2012, Goodwill helped place 6,747 people into jobs in western North Carolina.

The West Asheville Goodwill store is open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 6 p.m. Donations of saleable clothing and household items are accepted at all Goodwill stores. For more information on Goodwill’s services and mission, visit http://www.goodwillnwnc.org.
