The Bailey Mountain Cloggers & Delta Zeta Sorority of Mars Hill University are hosting a benefit concert for Gretchen DeGroot Green, on Friday, November 1, 2013, on the university quad from 7-9pm.
"Clogging for a Cure" will feature several performances by the 20-time national champion cloggers from Mars Hill University and various artists from the area. There will also be a silent auction and several other activities to benefit Gretchen.
Gretchen was recently diagnosed with Stage II Breast Cancer. Gretchen is a member of the Mars Hill College class of 1996, and a member of Delta Zeta Sorority. She is married to Gunny Green, and she is the mother of 3-year-old Amelia. She is also the daughter of Fifi Degroot, staff member of Mars Hill University.
Donations are strongly encouraged and 100% of the proceeds will go to Gretchen.
