Mission Health expands spine and back pain services to outpatient center in Clyde

Asheville, N.C. (July 1, 2013) – Mission Health has extended its spine and back pain services to the Clyde community with the opening of the Mission Spine & Back Pain Center. Conveniently located in Haywood County at 490 Hospital Drive, near Tuscola High School, the center takes an innovative and collaborative approach to providing quality care for patients with back and neck pain.

At Mission Spine & Back Pain Center in Clyde, patients are now connected to specialists who offer accessible and efficient service.”
The Mission Spine & Back Pain Center in Clyde is housed at the Mission Outpatient Care Center. There, spine care and neurosurgery services are provided by Carolina Spine and Neurosurgery and Blue Ridge Bone & Joint and Center. These world-class specialists can diagnose and treat neck pain or back pain caused by various spine conditions.
“Access to care is an important step in a patient’s journey to achieving overall better outcomes,” said Jon M. Silver, MD, Medical Director of Mission Spine & Back Pain and Neurosurgeon with Carolina Spine and Neurosurgery. “Patients in Clyde and the surrounding areas now have access to specialists that provide a comprehensive approach to spine and back pain.”
Services offered at the Mission Spine & Back Pain Center in Clyde include preventive care, pre-and post- operative care (including physical therapy), and the diagnosis and treatment of spine and back pain.
For patients who require a surgical procedure, the Clyde Center provides easy access to the Mission Spine & Back Pain Center at Mission Hospital, which has received the Blue Distinction Center® designation by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina.
A referral is not required – though strongly preferred— from a primary care provider or chiropractor for services at the Mission Spine & Back Pain Center in Clyde.
In May 2013, Mission Health opened the two-floor, 30,000-foot Mission Spine & Back Pain Center at 7 Vanderbilt Drive in Asheville. The Center offers a full continuum of spine and back care in one convenient location.
