Asheville, NC – August 8, 2013 – The Village Potters, located in Asheville’s River Arts District in historic Riverview Station, is happy to host their annual event in support of Asheville Empty Bowls and MANNA FoodBank.
On Saturday, August 31 people of all levels of experience are invited to participate as we make and decorate bowls for the 12th annual Asheville Empty Bowls events to benefit MANNA FoodBank. Pottery wheels will be available for those with the ability to throw a bowl (beginners welcome!), as well as space for handbuilding. Tables will also be set up with pre-fired bowls for decorating (no experience necessary!). All bowls will be finished and glazed in time for the September 16 Asheville Empty Bowls events. There is no charge to attend or participate at this event.
MANNA’s 12th Annual Empty Bowls lunch and dinner will take place Monday, September 16th. The annual lunch will take place from 11:00 to 1:30 at the Doubletree by Hilton Asheville-Biltmore in Biltmore Village. The dinner will be held at the Hilton Asheville in Biltmore Park from 5:30 until 7:30pm. Tickets for each event are $30, with all proceeds benefiting MANNA FoodBank.
