Val Glenn aka Time & Temperature started playing shows in her hometown of Columbus, Ohio in 2004 and has since spun a tight community in DIY and small creative communities across the country. The world of Time & Temperature has always seemed shrouded somewhat in mystery. A quiet promoter herself, releases were constrained to short runs of cassettes, handmade CDs or limited-edition vinyl singles until 2010, when she digitally debuted the 7-song Cream of the Low Tide. Anyone who found that record found a treasure.
Now, with a recent relocation to Minneapolis and forthcoming releases on Supply & Demand (Dark Dark Dark, Vandaveer), Glenn’s music is poised to creep its way into the hearts of a larger and much-deserved audience. Her songs are so beautiful and intimate that each song feels like a privileged invitation to an artfully arranged eavesdropping session. Or a case study in the power of carefully plucked strings and a lilting voice.
Hospital Call: Solo project of Asheville's Amanda Haswell. Her music features sparse guitar with haunting vocals that explore themes of gender, death, and nostalgic yearning.
Holy Holy Vine: solo electric fingerpickin', new songs.
