WNC Alliance urges participation at national forest public hearings
Here's the info from the WNC Alliance via the nonprofit environmental group's email newsletter:

The U.S. Forest Service is continuing its public meetings as part of the Nantahala-Pisgah National Forests management plan revision.

It's important that you let the Forest Service know why you value the Nantahala and Pisgah National Forests and what purposes these forests should be managed for in the next 15-20 years.

The Forest Service is asking people to write their ideas on Post-It notes that will all be analyzed in writing the revised forest plan.

It's critical to share your ideas at these first meetings!

The Western North Carolina Alliance is providing this link to suggested ideas under the themes that are displayed on poster boards at the meetings. Post-it notes are offered at each poster station. Please attend and fill them out!

All meetings are from 6-9 p.m.

The remaining meetings are as follows:

Grandfather Ranger District: March 12 at McDowell Technical Community College, Room 113, in Marion;

Pisgah Ranger District: March 18 at the Transylvania County Library in Brevard;

Nantahala Ranger District: March 19 at the Tartan Hall in Franklin.

Also, check our website here for talking points that can help you at these hearings.
