I don’t mean to be nasty, but what’s up with the Asheville Alibi? Do I need to be going to city council meetings in order to get the less-than-apparent jokes, or is the whole series just riding on the novelty of putting local faces on photos of those Fisher-Price peg-people? The cartoon makes these people look cute and innocent when I suspect that some of the people involved in local government are into some hard-core corruption. I’d love to see the creator do some digging and use their platform to really make some waves. Posted: 1 month, 2 weeks ago |

Two potential concepts to work into the Asheville Alibi: Mayor Bellamy selling out Asheville to the federalized police state (FEMA fusion center in Weaverville, video cameras on street corners, etc.) Robin Cape being endorsed by Sierra Club, that published Paul Ehrlich’s 1968 book “The Population Bomb” in which he calls humans a cancer and endorses adding sterilants to public drinking water.
