Top drawer: fashion news and views

Stylish, unique clothing matters, but what goes underneath counts, too. Forget those three-pack undies purchased at the discount store: There are plenty of options for cute, one-of-a-kind undergarments available locally.

To start with, ambitious do-it-yourself types can make their own. The Costume Shoppe (243 Haywood St., Asheville, 252-8404) occasionally offers classes in panty making.

Want instant gratification? Asheville-based designers Elise Olson and Maya Hubbell recently created lingerie line On the Inside. The sexy-meets-comfy bra-and-panty sets were dreamed up, fittingly, one Valentine’s Day. Fashioned from luxurious laces, organic cotton and bamboo fabric, the sassy pieces can be purchased at Honeypot (86 N. Lexington Ave., Asheville, 225-0304) and Zakya Boutique (61 Haywood St., Asheville, 254-9890) or online at OnTheInside.etsy.com. For more info, contact elise_olson@yahoo.com.

REALLY attractive and fun lingerie. Nice to see something that is sensual but not “over the top”.
    Also looks really comfortable!

I think the photography is terrific, relaxed and fresh.
