I am getting tickets for their game against the Detroit Lions (yes, they’re awesome:) Since tickets are so expensive I was wondering if anyone had some advice on which seats would be better....

A. Upper deck, closer to the 50 yard line.

OR

B. Closer to the field, but in the end-zone. Not upper deck, but not really close to the field.

Also, if anyone has tickets for this game, let me know!!!

Go Lions

Although I’m about as adept at actual sports as, say, a walrus is at ballet, I do occasionally like to button-mash my way though a video game version or two. Currently, I’m rocking the old-school PlayStation 2 version of “MLB 2005.”

But, what about you? What sports-related video games push your buttons?

This forum is for discussion about local sports teams, players, coaches and related topics. Curious about a team’s training schedule? Interested in speculating about the upcoming season? Post about it here.

PLEASE NOTE: In the case of school-related sports, we ask that you be extremely tactful when discussing the performances of the players. Remember, these are kids involved in an extracurricular activity, not professionals.

Also, please keep the Xpress forum rules in mind when posting. These are:

1. Think before you post: Seriously. We’re trying to spark interesting conversations about local topics here, and the last thing we want is to flood the board with thoughtless content. This includes the needless repeating of catchphrases, redundant posting of internet memes and posts with little original content.

2. No, SPAMming, no malicious links, no illegal downloads: It’s fine to discuss a business or service, but if the conversation veers into self-promotion, we’ll close down the thread. Depending on the nature of the post, we may also ban the user. Likewise, it’s fine to post links to relevant topics, but linking to any URL with spyware, malicious code, pornography or illegal download sites is strictly forbidden, and will likely get your IP address banned. Think before you post!

3. Use the “NWS” warning for questionable material: If you are unsure if a link is suitable for all users, please mark the link as “Not Work Safe” or “NWS” before and after the URL. This simply indicates that the link connects to a site or content that most people would get in trouble for looking at while at work.

4. Be civil: It’s fine to disagree on these forums. That said, personal attacks, hate speech and libelous content will not be allowed. Users who fail to comply with this rule will be banned. Users are encouraged to use the “Report” button to inform us of such content.

5. Respect the Admins and Mods: The forum administrators and moderators are here to keep the forums safe, sane, and secure. Do not harass or intentionally annoy them, and if they ask you to do something, please do it. Likewise, please do not “backseat mod,” as we know our own rules and are more than capable of enforcing them. If you do not like the mods or the moderation, feel free to not post here.

6. Use the Private Message option: If you want to communicate something to another user which is not suitable for the forums, please PM them rather than posting the content where everyone can see it. In particular, raging “flame war” arguments and links to sites with questionable content are ideal for PMs.

7. Keep post topics relevant: This subcategory is for discussion about local sports. If you’d like to talk about some other topic, please post it in the relevant subcategory. If there’s not a category that fits, post it in the General Discussion section.
