Just wanted to let folks know that Hendersonville (I know it’s all of 20 miles from Asheville!) has an improv comedy troupe called Gag Order that is performing every Friday night at 8:00pm on Main Street at the Brightwater Yoga Studio.  The cost is $5 (although sometimes they have buy one get one free evenings).  It’s also BYOB and bare-footin’.  Yes, it’s a yoga studio and they want to respect the space so everyone (performer and audience alike) go shoeless and sometimes sockless!  Anyway, here’s BW’s website with addresses and links http://www.brightwateryoga.com

Not that I’d drive 20 miles out of my way to see them, but Gag Order is pretty good. They did a couple of joint shows with the OxyMorons here in Asheville, and thought they were worth catching again.

Gag Order definitely does some good work. They were invited to perform at the Dirty South Improv Festival this year.

As for some local hilarity: The OxyMorons will again be gracing the stage of ACT’s 35below this summer for the Late Night Comedy Series. Check out our site for dates and times.

We’re also planning a charity fundraiser at the beginning of June. I’ll post more as it becomes available.

We’ll be performing at ACT’s 35below theatre (35 E. Walnut) on those dates. Shows start at 8pm. Can’t wait to see you there!
