So I found a torrent of a live concert I attended. I downloaded said torrent, and the music files are all compressed as FLAC files. I did some research and found out that FLACs are an open source compression file (or something like that) and I need to convert these files into mp3s. Every converter I’ve found costs money, and I am too cheap to pay for the programs.

Is there a way that I can convert the files from FLACs to mp3s without paying for a new program? Can I convert them to WAVs and then to mp3s for free?

Help people.

Why yes I have a blog. What? You want to see my underwear? That’s over the line, sir.

winamp has a funky way of converting flacs, but it can do it.  Just google “flac to mp3 winamp” and the mighty internet will give you the answer.

Changed your mind on that Lou Reed show I see…

It was actually My Morning Jacket’s epic 3 hour set at Bonnaroo that did it.

Is their another program besides WinAmp? I’d like to just convert it and go on about my day.
