I just finished “Fortress of Solitude” by Jonathan Lethem, and it was a darn good, and at times heartbreaking, book.

I just finished The Walking Dead Compendium, collecting issues 1-48 and it. is. amazing. Not scary per se, considering that’s not what Kirkman is going for, but witnessing a near-perfect account of a man’s evolving (and at times devolving) character in a world of zombies and human depravity is nothing short of heartbreaking. No comic has made me experience more emotion since Y The Last Man.

I just started reading Stephen R Brown’sMerchant Kings”. Not as good as the review made it sound, but pretty good nonetheless.

Commerce meets conquest in this swashbuckling story of the six merchant-adventurers who built the modern world, as told by “Canada’s Simon Winchester”.

Just finished Vlautin’s ‘Northline’

gritty look at a woman without money or luck

and a haunting CD soundtrack comes with the book

so you get to read a chapter and listen to the soundtrack written for that moment ....

very interesting

if you likes Motel Life then you will probably enjoy Northline

I like to kill a mockingbird because I think it is mocking me.

Same thing goes for UPS delivery people.
