I haven’t used my TV to pick up on-air broadcasts since the Olympics. Before that, I hadn’t used it in months. I watch DVDs and stuff, but for the most part I use my computer or my portable DVD player for that.

I’ve met a lot of people who do the same thing.

So, who here actually still uses their TV to watch broadcast shows or cable?

I watch Sportscenter, CSPAN and Seinfeld daily. Weekly I watch pro wrestling (to talk with my grandpa about later), Intervention (my lady is addicted to it) and on Thursdays I usually watch The Office and 30 Rock. That’s about it.

My family watches Bones.  Other than that, I own two video stores.

Oh, I forgot that I watch House quite a bit. He’s such a prick.

I watch lots of stuff on TV and enjoy it very much. My wife and I always look forward to being able to finally sit down in the evenings and watching our favorite shows. These are mostly reality, news, and documentary type shows plus some movies now and then (having satellite, we can get a lot of channels). But we almost never watch any of the more popular drama type shows or sitcoms - Two and a Half Men being one exception.

I guess it makes sense for stuff like Sportscenter or CSPAN, although I tend to prefer getting my news online, since I can read it at my own pace or instantly rewatch a video. It can be kind of frustrating not to watch new shows as their air, like Battlestar Galactica, but they’re generally available on Hulu or ... other ways ... within a day or two.

I can’t watch Seinfeld anymore. It seems so dated now.

I could watch Seinfeld every day for the rest of my life. It’s wonderful TV. High comedy and low comedy happening in the same scene.

Plus my girlfriend compares me to George all the time.

No TV. Hate it and always feel bad when I indulge. A puritan guilt thing, I’m sure.

I stayed away from the web for a long time because I worried about it being just a better TV.

interactive teevee… instead of yellign at the screen, you can tapity tapity upon those keys as a refutation to glen Beck’s freaky eye close-up.

If it weren’t for Turner Classic Movies and my fascination with “how grey will Mike Cuevas’ hair be today,” I’d never turn the TV on without a DVD at the ready.

This is the only channel I miss after cutting off cable.  Oh, also THE SOUP.
