Chris… when you sent me a pm you had copid my text, this was at the bottom:
Thanks.

If you hover your curser over where it should be, does it change?
How bizarre, the invisible, non-functional option buttons. I hovered the mouse in the suspect area and it does change from the arrow to the bar seen in most word processing programs. Then I did a copy and paste test. In the highlight copy part the option buttons do not become visible, but shows up in the paste. The mouse at no time becomes the hand which means I can click an option. I must have zombie boarder PM option buttons.
No. My PM box does not look like that. All the function buttons at the bottom are missing. I am on IE and have a very basic standard nothing fancy computer setup.
Are you using IE 6 (or an earlier version) by any chance? It doesn’t deal well at all with some CSS issues, and we may not have the template set up for it. That could certainly cause some weird rendering. Also, why on earth are you still using IE? Chrome or Firefox, FTW.
I am on IE 8. Not my computer so I try to avoid messing with it as much as possible. The computer owner is a bit cantankerous when you change things.
It very well could be an issue with this computer. This computer, the computer owner and the satellite ISP have tech issues. I’ll have to check another forum like this I am signed up for to see if there is a similar problem. In the winter I hook my own computer back up and have no odd problems like this. Granted I am no early adopter tech whiz myself.
I had the same issue with not having a reply option for Pm’s for about a month or so. I have IE 8, but am currently using a horrible Dell while my Mac is down….so I figured it was something with that. However, just the other day the options at the bottom of the PM’s reappeared.?.
I don’t think so. I haven’t used this computer in quite awhile though. My daughter used it for games and to visit the three sites or so that a 7 year-old visits (monkey-porn, Huffington and crop circle sightings).
Now that I’m using it, I’ve run several scans and have tried to maximize the incredible 27 gig capacity as much as possible.
On a side note, can anyone recommend a good mac repair place? I’m thinking the Charlotte Street guys (I’ve heard great things about them), but any other ideas would be great so I can do a little price comparison.

irradiance on smokey park has worked on mine - nice place.
They line up for me. I imagine it’s a browser-specific CSS issue. What brower/OS are you using? I’ll ask the webmaster to see if he can reproduce the problem.

It’s your Mac ... Actually, that shouldn’t be the problem. The entire Xpress staff uses Macs, although they generally use Camino as their primary browser. Maybe it’s a fixable Safari issue. I’ll ask the webmaster about it.
